JECohen’s private real estate investing activities began in 2015. Through various special purpose vehicles, JECohen has served as the investment manager over deploying $26 million of capital. The firm has acquired or repositioned over 170,000 square feet, including the former historic New Orleans Cotton Exchange.
JECohen adheres to a value-oriented approach to investing in real estate across the risk spectrum and varied property types. The firm seeks to acquire, reposition, and realize undervalued, under managed, and underutilized properties selling at a discount to replacement cost but where there are multiple catalysts to value creation.
JECohen’s success has been manufactured by concentrating expertise in a limited number of high-quality investment opportunities.
