JECohen Celebrates Seven Years of Superior Service in New Orleans

JECohen is celebrating its seventh anniversary this year by doubling down on its wealth management offerings. As part of rebranding efforts, the firm is providing new opportunities to its core audience of dedicated investors.

In addition to traditional public market investment strategies, the firm is proud to share the success of its private market investing platforms through real estate and venture capital. In 2018, JECohen Realty acquired 714 Canal Street in New Orleans. In 2021, the firm purchased 263 Third Street along with four other properties in Baton Rouge. JECohen Realty is extremely proud to play a role in the revitalization of Downtown New Orleans and Baton Rouge.

JECohen Ventures has been supporting the next generation of business leaders in the Gulf region. After leading the seed round in 2019 for Flyguys, Inc, a nationwide drone service based in Lafayette, LA., JECohen Ventures recently participated in the company’s successful $4M Series A round.

JECohen hired its first employee in 2016 and is currently expanding its workforce by announcing a new financial advisor role committed to providing exceptional client service. A new website, a renewed mission and vision, and a laser focus on relationships is putting the firm on a course towards accelerated market growth.

As the only independently, Black-owned investment management firm in Louisiana, the serendipity of celebrating its February anniversary alongside Black History Month is not lost on the organization. Jarrett E. Cohen, JECohen’s Principal and Chief Investment Officer, says “Reflecting on the last month, I acknowledge the triumphs and struggles of our past and the hope for our future. The past seven years have been a meaningful exercise in growth, patience, and gratitude. We hope to continue this practice, and then some, for years to come.”
